Admissions

The School is preparing its inaugural intake. Registering your interest places you on the priority list for dates, formats and fees — with no obligation and no fee to register.

Eligibility

Who the School admits

There is no single entry qualification. What we look for is a genuine intention to carry out research and the willingness to be corrected while doing it.

Students

Undergraduate and postgraduate learners in any discipline, particularly those approaching a dissertation, thesis or first publication.

Researchers

Early-career and practising researchers strengthening design, analysis or publication, or moving into an unfamiliar methodological tradition.

Educators

Teachers, lecturers and supervisors building research capability in their own institutions and mentoring students through it.

Innovators & professionals

Founders, practitioners and public-sector teams who need defensible evidence behind the products, services and policies they own.

Institutions

Schools, colleges, universities and organisations may enrol groups or commission a programme delivered for their own staff and students. Discuss an institutional programme →

The process

How admission will work

The School is at pre-launch stage. This is the sequence from today to your first session.

Register your interest

Complete the short form below. Tell us your field, what you want to study and which format suits you. Nothing is committed at this stage.

We confirm the details

As the calendar, formats and fees are finalised, registered candidates are notified first — before anything is published publicly.

Application opens

You submit a short application: your background, your intended project or research interest, and the format you are applying for.

Conversation

A brief discussion to confirm that the programme fits what you need — and, where relevant, to match you with an appropriate mentor.

Enrolment

You receive an offer, confirm your place, and begin with the foundation stage alongside the rest of your cohort.

Questions

Frequently asked

Has the School launched yet?

Not yet. Al-Majeed School of Research Methodology and Innovation has been announced and is launching soon. Programme calendars, formats and fees are being finalised, and registered candidates will be notified before anything is published publicly.

Do I need a research background to join?

No. The foundation stage assumes no prior methodological training and is deliberately built for people who have been asked to produce research without ever being taught how research is designed. Experienced researchers can enter directly at the specialisation or supervision stage.

Which disciplines does the School cover?

All of them. The logic of inquiry — how a question becomes a design, how evidence is judged, how a conclusion is earned — is shared across fields. We teach that common core and then apply it inside each participant's own discipline.

What will it cost?

Fees for the inaugural intake are being finalised and will be published here before enrolment opens. Registering your interest costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Will programmes be delivered online or in person?

Delivery arrangements for the first intake are being confirmed alongside the calendar. Tell us your preference when you register — the balance of formats in the first cohort will be informed by what registered candidates need.

Can I bring a project that is already under way?

Yes, and it is often the best way to work with us. Supervision is offered specifically for participants mid-project — including studies that have stalled, drifted from their original design, or been returned by reviewers.

Do participants receive a certificate?

Participants who complete a programme receive a certificate of completion from the School recording the capability areas covered and the project undertaken. It documents training completed with the School and is not a substitute for a degree awarded by a university.

Can my institution run a programme for its own staff or students?

Yes. Institutional programmes are delivered for a named group and shaped around that institution's own research goals. Contact us to discuss a partnership.
