A new chapter begins

From knowledge consumers
to knowledge creators.

Al-Majeed School of Research Methodology & Innovation is an institution built to strengthen the culture of research, critical thinking and disciplined inquiry — and to turn well-formed questions into work that matters.

The announcement

An institution founded on a single conviction

Every meaningful innovation begins with a question — and every great researcher begins with the courage to ask it.

We are proud to announce the launch of Al-Majeed School of Research Methodology and Innovation: an initiative dedicated to developing a stronger culture of research, critical thinking, methodology and innovation. This is more than the launch of an institution. It is the beginning of a research and innovation ecosystem.

Our vision
Learners who create knowledge, not only consume it
Our scope
Open to every discipline and every field of study
Our community
Students, researchers, educators and innovators
Our status

What we develop

Eight areas of capability

We create opportunities for students, researchers, educators and innovators to build rigorous, transferable skills — from the first research question to the published result and the innovation that follows.

Research Methodology

Study design, sampling, validity and reliability — the disciplined architecture behind any credible finding.

Academic & Scientific Research

Literature review, theoretical framing and evidence standards across the humanities, sciences and professions.

Critical & Analytical Thinking

Argument analysis, logical reasoning and the habit of testing claims before accepting them.

Data Analysis & Research Tools

Quantitative and qualitative analysis, statistical literacy and fluency with modern research software.

Innovation & Problem Solving

Structured creativity, design thinking and methods for framing problems worth solving.

Research Writing & Publication

Academic writing, citation integrity, journal selection and the practice of peer review.

Research-to-Innovation

Translating findings into prototypes, products, policy and practice that reach the people they serve.

Collaborative Research

Team science, interdisciplinary practice and the authorship, ethics and governance that sustain it.

Vision & principles

A simple vision, held rigorously

The School is being established to transform learners from knowledge consumers into knowledge creators. That ambition is not a slogan; it is a standard we hold every programme, every mentor and every project against.

  • Method before conclusion. A finding is only as trustworthy as the design that produced it.
  • Integrity is non-negotiable. Honest data, honest citation, honest reporting of what did not work.
  • Questions belong to everyone. Research literacy is not the property of a single discipline or institution.
  • Research must travel. Work that stays inside a file drawer has not finished its job.
  • Mentorship over instruction. Researchers are formed through supervised practice, not lectures alone.
Mandate 01

Build research capability

Equip learners at every stage with methodological grounding they can apply in any field — from a first undergraduate proposal to a funded study.

Mandate 02

Support the work itself

Provide supervision, review and practical tooling so that projects reach completion, publication and defensible conclusions.

Mandate 03

Grow the ecosystem

Connect students, educators, institutions and innovators so that good work compounds instead of being repeated in isolation.

The pathway

From a question to an innovation

Our programmes follow the arc of real research. Each stage produces something concrete, and each stage is reviewed before the next one begins.

Ask

Locate a problem worth studying. Sharpen it into a researchable question with a defensible scope, and situate it honestly within what is already known.

Design

Choose a methodology that fits the question rather than the fashion. Define variables, instruments, sampling and ethics before any data is collected.

Investigate

Collect and analyse with discipline. Document decisions as they are made so the work can be audited, replicated and defended.

Communicate

Write for the reader who will judge the work. Structure the argument, present the evidence, acknowledge the limits and prepare for peer review.

Translate

Carry the finding outward — into a prototype, a policy submission, a classroom, a venture or a further study. Research completes itself in use.

Who the School is for

Four communities, one standard of rigour

Students

Undergraduate and postgraduate learners preparing a dissertation, thesis or first publication — and anyone who wants to stop guessing at method.

Researchers

Early-career and practising researchers strengthening design, analysis and publication strategy, or moving into a new methodological tradition.

Educators

Teachers, lecturers and supervisors who want to build research culture in their own institutions and mentor students with confidence.

Innovators

Professionals, founders and public-sector teams who need evidence behind the decisions, products and policies they are responsible for.

“We believe that every meaningful innovation begins with a question — and every great researcher begins with the courage to ask it.”
